PP+K unveiled the design elements created for Metropolitan Ministries’ second Inside The Box Café location at the grand opening on July 17 in the Westshore District.
The Tampa-based advertising agency designed the print brochures, menu boards and signage for Inside The Box Café’s Westshore location. The pieces were created to embody a more modern aesthetic, with upbeat colors and eye-catching textures.
“We are thrilled to have worked with PP+K on yet another successful project,” says Justine Burke, director of marketing at Metropolitan Ministries. “The new location turned out so wonderfully, that we are looking into updating the downtown Tampa space as well.”
The first Inside The Box Café location opened in downtown Tampa in 2012 with the concept ‘A meal for you. A meal for them.’ Each breakfast or lunch purchased provides a meal for a person in need through Metropolitan Ministries. Since the first location opened, more than 140,000 meals have been provided to individuals in need. The café is managed by former residents of Metropolitan Ministries and graduates of the Uplift U® self-sufficiency program, and is staffed by interns who are currently residents.
“We are big believers in the concept and the driving force behind Inside The Box Café,” says Tom Kenney, executive creative director of PP+K. “It was a pleasure to work with Metropolitan Ministries on this project and we are excited to see what the future holds for the Westshore location.”
