Media Buying Coordinator

Position Summary:
As a Media Buying Coordinator, you will support Broadcast Negotiators in the placement and stewardship of local broadcast media schedules (TV and Radio).
This is an entry level position requiring an eager, proactive and energetic person who is interested in beginning a career in media. This person should like working with numbers, have strong communication skills, work well in a team and be resourceful .

Job Duties:
Place and confirm media schedules with sales reps
Steward and proof media schedules in buying system
Participate in analysis and post campaign summary of integrated programs
Track and resolve “make goods” (spots that did not air as planned/purchased)
Investigate and clear invoice discrepancies
Build external relationships and grow your industry acumen; accompany buyers at vendor meetings, lunches and networking events
Understand and be able to analyze numbers (e.g. Nielsen)
Stay up to date on market trends and competitive
Capitalize on mentorship from senior staff members to expedite your growth
Participate in departmental projects as requested

Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft programs, especially Excel and PowerPoint – strong Excel is a must
Strong mathematical ability
Ability to communicate concisely and clearly, both written and oral
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Proven ability to work independently and as part of an integrated team
Reliable, Efficient/Multi-tasker, detail-oriented, organized, conscientious, with the ability work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
0-1 year work experience
Bachelor’s degree
Previous internship in advertising/marketing and or billing/traffic/planning is a plus
